Science classes at the high school level are designed to turn students into educated citizens of our planet and open up exciting career pathways in the medical, science, technology and engineering fields. Students will not just learn about, but learn how to engage with crucial issues of our time, such as climate change, energy sources, resource preservation, and the critical evaluation of information. Next Generation Science examines science concepts through the lens of, "How does our universe naturally operate, and what is the effect of human endeavor on this operation?" Students begin from the inside out by first examining the operation of the body and observable environment around them in Integrated Science 1. This is followed by the detailed operation of the earth's spheres at the molecular level in Integrated Science 2, and Earth's place in the Universe and the forces that drive it all in Integrated Science 3.
