• Tdap Requirement

    ALL students entering grades 7 through 12 MUST provide proof of receiving a Tdap booster before starting school.
     
     
    This requirement:
     

    > Applies to all public and private schools

    > Begins July1, 2011

    > Can be met by receiving one dose of Tdap vaccine on or after the 10th birthday

    > Does not affect students enrolled in summer school
     

    Pertussis is widespread. If your child 10 years and older has not received the ‘Tdap’ Pertussis booster vaccine, please contact your doctor or health department. Getting immunized now will protect your child against the ongoing threat of pertussis and meet school enrollment requirements (California law - Assembly Bill 354).
